She is also responsible for receiving customers payment information and keeping them posted when their samples have arrived at our facility.
Yi Wang, Ph.D. – Senior Scientist | Chromatography Leader
Dr. Yi Wang received his Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry degree from the Academy of Sciences in Beijing and went on to receive post-doctoral training at Brown University and Princeton University. His graduate studies focused on environmental biogeochemical processes. In 2009, Dr. Wang joined ZymaX Forensics (now Pace Analytical), an environmental laboratory serving all 50 states and numerous international clients. He joined Alliance Technologies in 2017 as a Senior Scientist and Group Leader, providing project leadership for analytical investigations and managing the chromatography separations group.
Tracy Karpinski, B.S. - Staff Scientist
Tracy Karpinski received her Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Chemistry at Towson University. After receiving her degree, she has worked in research and development along with analytical testing labs before joining Alliance Technologies. Since joining Alliance, her skills and expertise continues to expand in chromatography (HPLC, GC, GCMS, HS-GCMS) as well as related analytical techniques.
Michelle Scarano, B.S. - Staff Scientist
Michelle Scarano, received her Bachelor’s in Marine Science from Rider University and worked in a pharmaceutical environment before joining a company focused on zeolite and catalyst R&D. At Alliance Technologies, Michelle supports client projects with wet chemistry tests, compendial methods, and x-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques as well as certain QA functions.
Alice Hui, M.S.- Sr. Scientist
Alice Hui received her chemistry degrees from Indiana University at Bloomington (M.S) and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (B.S.). During her undergraduate studies, she studied gold nanoparticle synthesis and applications in an electrochemical laboratory and abroad in a physical chemistry laboratory. Her graduate studies focused on inorganic synthesis and characterization of catalytic systems towards renewable energy sources. Prior to joining Alliance Technologies, Alice worked in a geo-chemistry laboratory investigating metal isotopic compositions of in nanoparticles, soil remediation samples, and earth crust samples. At Alliance Technologies, she specializes in solving unique and challenging problems through ICP-MS, SEM-EDX, XRD, FTIR, and microscopy among other techniques.
Eddie Witlicki, Ph.D. - Sr. Scientist
Dr. Edward Witlicki received a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of Hartford (B. Sc.) and his Ph.D. Indiana University. His undergraduate research focused on functional dendrimers for carbon dioxide sequestration applications, while his graduate studies focused on creating molecular machines and developing plasmonics as a chemical sensing platform. In post-doctoral work, Dr. Witlicki developed ceramic-based materials for safe hydrogen gas storage and release while working at the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In 2013, he joined the Product Development group developing new manufacturing processes and products for the meat industry worldwide. As group leader at Alliance Technologies, Dr. Witlicki provides project oversight of investigational and stability studies and specializes in elemental analysis (ICP, ICP-MS, GFAAS), spectroscopy (UV/vis, FTIR), and thermogravimetry (TGA, DSC).
