Raw Material QC: A drug manufacturer requires ongoing USP analysis of raw materials by NIR spectroscopy under cGMP conditions in support of their manufacturing operations. Quality of the data and turnaround time are paramount for the timely released of their finished pharmaceutical products. Alliance Technologies provides GMP compliant testing for this critical QC requirement.

Food Contamination: Small fibers found in a “Sesame Crunch” product were identified by polarized light microscopy (PLM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Based on these tests, 3 different fibers – polyester, cotton and nylon – were identified as contaminants so the source could be identified.

OTC Medicine Assays: A toller producing over-the-counter (OTC) formulations required assays for product release and stability testing.  Alliance Technologies developed and optimized several high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods to determine multiple components in OTC medicines.  40-45 minute run times with poor resolution were replaced with a 15 minute run for the simultaneous determination of the 3 active ingredients by HPLC.
