Today, with the broad experiences of the group, Alliance Technologies offers chemical testing services to a wide variety of industries, including industrial or specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics & polymers, intellectual property or legal services, medical devices, and personal care or consumer products.
Jonathan Chun, Ph.D. – CTO/Owner
Dr. Jonathan Chun received his Chemistry degrees from Princeton University (Ph.D., M.A.) and the University of Hawaii (B.S.), and his graduate studies focused on chemical sensors and electrochemical systems. After post-doctoral work investigating conducting polymers, Dr. Chun joined a clinical diagnostics company (i-STAT, now Abbott Point of Care) creating portable blood testing instruments. He later joined the Analytical Technology group at the Princeton R&D Center of FMC Corporation in 1994, which provided broad analytical testing services worldwide to various chemical and machinery divisions of the corporation. As Senior Scientist and Group Leader, Jonathan provided project leadership for analytical investigations and managed the analytical group prior to co-founding Alliance Technologies with Tony in 2001 as a privately-held independent chemical testing and materials characterization laboratory.
Anatoly (Tony) Nemzer – COO/Owner
Tony Nemzer received his B.S. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering from the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology, and his M.S. in Chemistry from St. Joseph’s University. In 1981, Tony joined Rohm and Haas as a process development chemist responsible for developing synthetic routes for manufacturing commercial monomers. This led to a career path in material science and corrosion engineering. In 1990, Tony joined FMC Engineering Services as a material scientist, and established, grew, and managed the Materials Engineering Group. While at FMC, Tony provided material and corrosion engineering services to R&D and manufacturing sites; later, he managed both the Analytical and Material Technology groups, which provided a broad range of services to all of the FMC divisions in the areas of R&D and manufacturing support, including resolving customer issues and providing marketing claims support. Tony continued at FMC until, in 2001, he and Jonathan co-founded Alliance Technologies and separated the analytical group from FMC Corporation as a privately-held independent chemical testing and materials characterization laboratory.
